A Message From Crete's Founder
Dear Friend,
For the past five years, I bore witness to the generosity, kindness and love from our community. Year after year, individuals and families choose to be intentional with their holiday giving and bless our students at Crete Academy. The 2022 Giving Tuesday Holiday is no different. I continue to be encouraged and inspired by the spirit of generosity that persists, despite what may happen in the world and our lives.
A wise man once said, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes, and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me...Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters and mine, you did for me?"
Although special, the gifts received fail in comparison to the generosity and love that is demonstrated through this act. Through your giving, you bring a smile to a child's face, levity to their heart and peace to their mind. You have chosen to remember children that are often forgotten. For this, words can never adequately express the depth of my gratitude.
